Remove campaign tracking tags from a URL before sharing or saving it. Other query parameters and the page fragment stay intact.
Processing happens in your browser. This tool does not send the URL to a server.
Long tracking URLs look sloppy in reports, emails, and social posts — and when someone shares your tagged link further, their shares pollute your analytics with someone else's campaign data. Stripping UTM parameters and ad-click IDs before saving or sharing a URL keeps links clean, readable, and honest: the destination stays the same while the tracking residue goes. It is also a small privacy win, since click IDs can tie a shared link back to the original ad click.
With both options checked, the tool removes every key starting with utm_ and common ad-click IDs: gclid, dclid, fbclid, msclkid, ttclid, wbraid, and gbraid. The removed values are listed under the output so you can verify nothing important was stripped before you share the link.
No. Only the selected tracking parameters are deleted. Other query values — like category=guides in the sample — and the URL fragment (#pricing) are preserved exactly, so the cleaned link still loads the same page with the same filters and scroll position.
No. Tracking parameters never change the page content; analytics and ad platforms read them silently. Removing them leaves the destination, filters, and fragment intact — the link simply arrives without the campaign labels attached. Share the cleaned version freely; it loads the same page while keeping reports free of stray campaign data.
No. Cleaning happens entirely in your browser — the URL is parsed locally and never transmitted. That makes it safe for internal links, client URLs, and links containing sensitive query values, since nothing ever leaves your device. Use it freely on links you would not paste into an unknown website.
